New capacity for Sanghvi open die forgings
Sanghvi Forge, based in Gujarat, India, now has a free forging plant located alongside the existing forging press which has an installed capacity of 3.6kt force. The recently commissioned four column hydraulic press of 4.5kt force is now in operation.

Latin American output stable in H1 2013
Latin American apparent use of finished steel reached 33.1Mt in the first half 2013, in line with the same period 2012. Production of finished steel fell 1% to 27.7Mt compared to the same period 2012.

Metal Ravne orders ladle treatment centre
Special and engineering steel producer Metal Ravne, part of the Slovenian Steel Group (SIJ) in which the state has a 46.65% holding, has placed an order for a secondary metallurgy treatment centre for its plant at Ravne na Koroskem.
