EAFs supplied by Primetals set world record
Two EAF Quantum electric arc furnaces (EAF) from Primetals Technologies have set a world record after achieving up to 50 heats per day. The furnaces are located at the Hubei Shunle site in the Hubei Province, China.

Tenova receives major order from Salzgitter Flachstahl
Salzgitter Flachstahl has placed a major order with Tenova for a walking beam furnace for slabs – blocks of cast steel. The highly energy-efficient furnace will help in in Salzgitter’s decarbonisation goals and further support Tenova’s position in the German market.

ArcelorMittal agrees sale of Bosnian operations
ArcelorMittal has signed a sale and purchase agreement to sell its operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina to Pavgord Group. The deal includes the sale of ArcelorMittal Zenica, an integrated steel plant, and ArcelorMittal Prijedor, an iron ore mining business.
