Tenova receives major order from Salzgitter Flachstahl
Salzgitter Flachstahl has placed a major order with Tenova for a walking beam furnace for slabs – blocks of cast steel. The highly energy-efficient furnace will help in in Salzgitter’s decarbonisation goals and further support Tenova’s position in the German market.

ArcelorMittal agrees sale of Bosnian operations
ArcelorMittal has signed a sale and purchase agreement to sell its operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina to Pavgord Group. The deal includes the sale of ArcelorMittal Zenica, an integrated steel plant, and ArcelorMittal Prijedor, an iron ore mining business.

ArcelorMittal Europe halts progress on DRI-EAF plans in Germany
ArcelorMittal Europe has stated that it will not move forward with direct reduced iron and electric arc furnace (DRI-EAF) plans due to a lack of certainty. The company had previously announced plans to decarbonise its flat steelmaking sites in Bremen and Eisenhüttenstadt.
