US steel shipments up 3.5%, says AISI
The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) has reported that for the month of January 2019, US steel mills shipped 8Mt (net tons), a 3.5% increase from the 7.8Mt (net tons) shipped in the previous month, December 2018, and a 5.8% increase from the 7,6Mt (net tons) shipped in January 2018.
