Due to circumstances out of our control – yes, we're talking about the COVID-19 virus – the Future Steel Forum 2020 has pressed the reset button and has rebooted itself to a new date in November (24-25). US steel imports down
The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) has reported today that the USA imported a total of 1.5Mt (net tons) of steel in February 2020, including 1.34Mt (net tons) of finished steel (down 52.2% and 18.4% respectively when compared with January final data).

Pennsylvania shuts down all but essential businesses
Steel has been declared a 'life essential' business in the state of Pennsylvania, USA, where almost all business are to shutdown this coming weekend. The situation will be enforced by state troopers, local officials, the state Health and Agriculture departments and the Liquor Control Board, according to one online report.
