JD Fields $24 million acquisition of LB Foster's piling division
JD Fields & Company, Inc – a subsidiary of the Fields Companies – has acquired the piling division of Pittsburgh, USA-based LB Foster Company (Foster) in a transaction valued at $24 million.

Nippon Steel Corporation commissions hybrid limestone carrier
Nippon Steel Corporation (NSC) of Japan has agreed to construct a hybrid sea-going vessel with a hybrid propulsion system that combines a gas-only engine and a battery. The vessel will replace the Shimokita Maru, a limestone carrier owned by NSU Naiko.
