Ansteel dismantles outdated coke furnaces – and plans to build two modern versions
Anshan Iron and Steel Group (Ansteel), the Chinese steel giant, has started to dismantle six of its outdated coking furnaces to meet with modern pollution standards, according to media reports.

Hebei Iron & Steel to build 5Mt/yr steel mill in South Africa
A memorandum of co-operation has been signed by the Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron & Steel Group and the South African Industrial Development Corporation and China-Africa Development Fund to build a 5Mt/yr steel mill.
