Hyundai Steel’s EAF-based steel production facility at Incheon, South Korea, has achieved a cumulative steel output of 100Mt.

The plant, completed in 1953, was South Korea’s first steel mill and is now the first of the nation’s steel plants to reach the 100Mt mark.

In 1956, the Incheon plant produced just 118 tones of molten iron in its first year.
