Abstract: Expanded recycled refractory production to reduce the steel industry’s carbon footprint.
The steel industry needs a low-carbon supply chain to help it address the decarbonization challenge. This presentation will discuss the role of RHI Magnesita (RHIM), the world’s largest producer of refractory products, in driving up the production of lower-carbon, high quality recycled refractory products to serve high demand from the steel industry.
RHIM is a key research and development partner to steel producers worldwide, developing unique products and services to help reduce the environmental footprint of the steel production process.
Martin started working for RHI Magnesita in 2008 and has outstanding knowledge in Operations, Quality Management and Research & Development in the refractory and mining industry. He is currently Senior Vice President and Head of IMS, Quality Assurance & Environment/Energy.
Martin holds a PhD degree in Technical Chemistry from the University of Graz, Austria.
