The Vietnamese government has revoked the investment license of a $9.8bn JV between state-owned shipbuilder Vinashiin and Malaysia’s Lion Group to build a steel plant.
The Prime Minister approved a plan to cancel the Ca Na project in the central province of Ninh Thuan.
Investors broke ground on the project in late 2008, since then no construction work has been carried out.
