Slovakian steelmaker US Steel Kosice has taken on Tenova LOI Thermprocess for the design and supply of an annealing and coating line for dynamo steel strips.
US Steel Kosice is undergoing extensive modernisation with a view to improving product quality, Tenova claims. One of the measures is the dismantling of two outdated annealing and coating lines and the construction, simultaneously, of new equipment.
According to Tenova, the plant bears the internal name Dynamo-Line no.4, and will be designed and delivered by Tenova, part of the Techint Group.
US Steel Kosice is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pittsburgh, USA-based US Steel. It is a fully integrated metallurgical plant and one of the largest industrial companies in the Slovak Republic. The plant produces thin sheet, ultra-fine sheet and galvanised strip and non-grain-oriented electrical steel sheets.
