A number of new developments are present in Hypertherm’s latest version of its intermediate level CAM nesting and process optimisation software, ‘TurboNest2010’ which have increased its power and capability. Some notable improvements include:

– Slowdown for more accurate hole cutting;

– Pre-lead out (end of cut) ramp-down;

– Interior (hole or slot) leads placement;

– Automatic height control.

The entry level version, ‘NestMaster2010’ also includes develo-pments which have improved its operation.

Selected developments include:

– Single part output; and

– Improved import of CAD files;

In addition to these features, standard features of both products have also been expanded.

Users of TurboNest cutting sheet metals now get access to some of Hypertherm’s industry-proven hole cutting technologies, as well as improved height control.

This produces noticeable quality improvements for cut holes, not available before in this intermediate level nesting product. At the same time, users cutting parts where hole quality is not a factor, can use the more basic NestMaster nesting solution.

Hypertherm’s MTC Software products remain a leading nesting solution for use with plasma cutting, as well as for laser, oxyfuel, waterjet, and combination-punch applications. Additionally, they provide ease of use, nesting ability, and technical/applications support.

Hypertherm designs and manufactures advanced plasma cutting systems for use in a variety of industries such as shipbuilding, manufacturing, and automotive repair. Its product line includes handheld and mechanised plasma systems and consumables, as well as CNC motion and height controls.

The company’s reputation for plasma innovation dates back 42 years, to 1968, with Hypertherm’s invention of water injection plasma cutting. The company has more than 1000 associates along with operations and partner representation worldwide.
