UK Steel key statistics published.
While 2010 saw a decline in UK steel output this was largely a result of the mothballing of the integrated steel plant in Teesside. The publication also documents the stuttering recovery from recession (UK steel demand grew by 26% last year compared to 2009) with the inexorable rise in iron ore, coal, scrap and gas prices.
