The experimental operations would continue until the end of May. This will be followed by fully-fledged production of 1.28Mt/y of DRI (Direct Reduction of Iron).
Tuwairqi Steel Mills Limited (TSML) is a project of Al Tuwairqi Holding of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The company has invested $245M in the first phase. The TSML complex covers 220 acres. The cold commissioning of the DCS is being performed by TSML under the supervision consultants from Midrex, USA.
