Talks are underway at ThyssenKrupp to end the contract of Andreas Goss, the man currently heading the company's steel division, according to an online report.
Following the failure to merge with Tata Steel, TK says that its new plan is to make ThyssenKrupp Europe fit for purpose going forward.
Talks are currently ongoing with Mr Goss and 'results are subject to the approval of the responsible committees', says TK.
