Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Corp produced 3.11Mt of stainless steel in 2012 and was ranked the world top producer for the fourth year running.
While most of domestic steelmakers cut output last year, Taigang focused on optimising their products mix to raise added value.
Based in Taiyuan, Taigang is the biggest special steel producer in China and largest stainless steel enterprise in the world.
