Ruukki’s prefabricated steel storage tank components are to be used to build oil storage tanks in the Port of Rotterdam, The Netherlands in a €6M order
The customer, Verwater Groep Nederland, chose Ruukki as a supplier because of previous good experience when working with it.
Three of the storage tanks to be built will have a volume of 120000m3 and be more than 83m in diameter. The remaining four will have a volume of 40000m3 and be 42m in diameter.
The steel plates will be made and prefabricated at Ruukki’s Raahe works in Finland and be shipped directly to Rotterdam in the form of ready-to-install steel components. Deliveries will be completed in August this year.
Ruukki has earlier delivered similar storage tank components to Russia, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Canada and the UK.
