Global engineering company Russula celebrated its 35th anniversary at METEC yesterday, with the company citing its areas of focus as innovation and sustainability.
A company spokesperson added that the concept of digitilization was key to its development, stating that Russula’s goal was to ‘bring all of the internet into an opportunity’.
Enrique Dans, senior advisor of digital transformation at IE University then followed with a presentation on industrial digitalization, commenting that climate change has triggered an ‘energy revolution’, with multiplied impacts on heavy industries.
Dans added that the steel industry will undergo significant changes in terms of its fuel types, with added focus on renewable energy as well as specific types of hydrogen.
