South Korea’s Posco, the world’s third largest steelmaker, said it plans to build a 450kt/y steel galvanising plant in China.
The company plans to begin construction of the continuous galvanising line producing steel products for automobiles in the southeastern province of Guangdong in Q2 of next year, in a bid to tap into the world's largest automotive market, a Posco spokesperson said.
Posco plans to start production at the plant in 2013 after completion in 2012, the spokesperson said.
