Russian steelmaker NLMK, the largest steelmaker in Russia and, it is claimed, the most efficient, has topped the 'Leader in Procurement Process Digitalisation' nominations for the Competitive Procurement Leader Award. The award's ceremony was held in Moscow at the Corporate Procurement 2018 Summit.
According to NLMK, the award's judging panel applauded NLMK Group's achievements in the field of digitalising the procurement process. Over 90% of tender procedures rely upon e-tendering using SAP SRM software and there is a wide range of projects currently underway to further automate procurement processes, the company claims.
The Competitive Procurement Leader Award is a professional competition in the field of trading and procurement. Its aim is to create visibility for the most significant projects in procurement that boost business efficiency and contribute to developing the entire market, says NLMK. Some 188 companies from all sectors of the economy took part.
