Primetals Technologies has appointed Koji Sakatani as CEO, succeeding the retiring Yoshiharu Ikeda.
Sakatani has decades of experience in the heavy industry sector, including extensive leadership roles with a focus on strategic initiatives.
Sakatani said: “I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for Yoshiharu Ikeda’s invaluable contributions to Primetals Technologies. He has served in various leadership roles over the years and will leave a lasting legacy with us.”

The new CEO began his career at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and has held several global positions, including the head of strategy at Primetals.
