Rolling mill supplier KOCKS has announced the passing of Ali Bindernagel Senior, who headed the company from 1972 to 2001.

He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on 18 October 2023, at the age of 93.

According to a company release, Ali Bindernagel Senior had a ‘significant impact on the KOCKS Group in the second generation of his family since 1954.’ He served as the company's leader from 1972 until it was handed over to his son, Ali Bindernagel Junior in 2001. The release stated: ‘‘With a strong will and an open heart, intuitive and present: this is how his family and those around him experienced him. With great energy he was committed to the KOCKS company. His generosity and independence will remain unforgotten.’’

The release concluded by saying: ‘‘Ali Bindernagel Senior's enduring legacy at KOCKS will forever be engraved in the history of our company. While we mourn the loss of a remarkable leader, we also celebrate the life of a man whose contributions have shaped KOCKS into the company it is today. Ali Bindernagel Junior will continue to steer KOCKS towards a bright future and thus in the third generation.’’
