John Cockerill has been recognised as a Global Premier Supply Chain Partner by the Baowu Group.
The honour is awarded to a select group of top-performing global suppliers at an event in China.
In a post on its website, the company stated: “This recognition is a testament to the dedication, innovation, and collaboration of our teams worldwide, who continue to deliver excellence and value to our partners across the steel industry.”
John Cockerill has been involved in advancing the Acid Regeneration Plant (ARP) projects for Baowu Steel. With two large ARPs successfully in operation since 2022, ARP #3 under construction with #4 to follow next year, these projects stand as the largest ARPs in the world, marking a major milestone for the two companies.
The award was accepted by Isabelle Widmer, head of John Cockerill Metals (Europe), from Hu Wangming, chairman of Baowu Group.
