Indian steelmaker Jindal Steel & Power (JSP) has joined ResponsibleSteel, an independent and non-profit organisation which represents the steel industry's first global multi-stakeholder standard and certification initiative.

The partnership represents a ‘commitment to [JSP's] mission to be a driving force in the socially and environmentally responsible production of net-zero steel, globally’, according to a company press release.

As one of the largest steel producers in India with a turnover of more than $7.6 billion, JSP has a significant presence in sectors like mining, power generation, and infrastructure.
