Gautam Malhotra has resigned as CEO of Jindal Steel after only nine months in the role.

Malhotra stated the decision was due to personal commitments and that he would step down effective 15 July 2026.

Recently, Jindal Steel has seen a series of senior management exits.

Malhotra joined the company in May 2024 before being appointed CEO in October 2025.

Jindal Steel is one of India's leading integrated steelmakers, with facilities in Angul, Raigarh, and Patratu.
