US company Greer Steel has completed an upgrade that extends the length capability of the company’s Braner cut-to-length (CTL) line.

While previously able to handle lengths of up to 146’, the line can now process lengths up to 160’.

The width, gauge and coil weight capabilities remain unchanged. The Braner USA line features a 17-roll flattener with a backer assembly and is capable of processing 72” cold rolled coils up to 30000lb x 30” wide in gauges up from .025 to .220”.

Greer produces cold rolled strip steel to customer specifications including carbon grades, surface finishes, tight gauge control, and edging, which can be supplied as coils or cut to length.

The company is headquartered and has its main plant in Dover, Ohio along with its service centre in Ferndale, Michigan.
