EcoVadis, an international sustainability ratings service, has awarded a gold medal to Dillinger, a European heavy grade steel manufacturer, for its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.
The EcoVadis rating accredits a high quality of sustainability management at Dillinger, with responsible operation and sustainable management being established values in the corporate policy of the Saarland-based steel company.
In recent years, Dillinger has positioned itself in the CSR rating of EcoVadis as a company with sustainable and responsible operations. In the current evaluation, the company was able to further improve on its result from the previous year, and, with 68 points, is among the top 3% of companies in the industry category. The assessment is valid until December 2022.

The EcoVadis rating is based on a defined scorecard. This includes the criteria of the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and the International Organization for Standardization for the areas of environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Specification of defined evaluation criteria enables companies certified by EcoVadis to be compared internationally.
