Orders for steel tubes, pipes and hollow profiles dropped 18.2%, demand for other products grew nearly 7% over March on increases of 11.6% for cold-rolled narrow strip, 7.5% rise for bright bars, 1.1% for cold-drawn wire but a 3.5% drop for cold-formed sections.
Demand for iron castings was up 0.8% and for steel castings up 2.5% month-on-month.
