Pomini Tenova has signed a contract with Türkiye’s Gazi Metal covering the supply of a foundation-free work roll grinding machine.

Gazi is Türkiye’s fifth-largest cold rolling manufacturer, with the new machine set to increase roll shop capacity at its Karasu Sakarya facility.

Mustafa Gazioğlu, CEO of Gazi, said: “This project further strengthens a long-standing and successful partnership. When Gazi Metal first established its cold rolling facilities, Pomini Tenova was selected as the Roll Shop partner of choice.

“Our consistent satisfaction over the years with the performance of the Pomini Combi grinder and the integrated Mill Communication System, ensuring seamless data exchange between the roll shop and the mill, has been a key factor behind our decision to expand our collaboration.”

The foundation-free design of the grinding machine can allow for advantages such as installation flexibility, reduced civil work, and enhanced throughput.

Petar Rokić, sales area manager at Pomini Tenova, added: “Our continued collaboration with Gazi Metal is a testament to both the reliability of our technology and the strength of our relationship with the Turkish steel industry.

“When a long-standing partner chooses to further expand its capacity with us, it represents the highest form of validation for our engineering and innovation.”

The delivery of the new machine is scheduled for early 2027, with commissioning set to start shortly after.
