Fives Stein has won two contracts in the Chinese tin-plate market.
It will supply vertical Digital Furnaces for two new tin-plate continuous annealing lines.
It has already put into operation the fastest tin-plate continuous annealing lines in China with a record process speed of 800mpm for two plants in Baosteel in Yichang and Meishan.
The first of the new contracts is for a vertical annealing furnace of 440kt/y capacity and operating at a process speed of 750mpm to be installed at Shougang Jintang.
Shougang operates two continuous annealing lines for sheets and two continuous galvanizing lines equipped with Fives Stein’s vertical furnace technologies.
The second order is from Hon Win Steel Co, part of Jiangsu Sunshine group, for the supply of a vertical annealing furnace of 325kt/y capacity to be installed at its plant in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province.
The complete design, engineering and supply of furnace equipment will be done by Fives Stein, including the manufacturing and supply of the local portion of the furnace which will be handled in China by Fives Stein Shanghai and Fives Engineering (Shanghai) Co, Ltd.
