Fives has signed a contract with Yongfeng Group for annealing furnaces of new strip processing lines.
As part of the agreement, Fives has been awarded with the design and supply of three SteinDigiflex annealing furnaces for two continuous galvanising lines and one continuous annealing line.
Stéphane Mehrain, Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Steel Global Sales at Fives, said: “We are very proud to enter into a long-term cooperation with Yongfeng Group. Our advanced process technologies will meet the stringent annealing and operating conditions required for these products, which is critical to achieving the necessary metallurgical targets and galvanised surface quality.
“This will enable the customer to expand their product portfolio to new high-end steel markets, including appliance and automotive industries.”
The new vertical annealing furnaces will be equipped with the latest generation of the AdvanTek combustion system, characterised by energy efficiency, fuel flexibility, and low emissions, as well as a FlashCooling rapid cooling system.
Yongfeng Group is currently building a new facility in Linyi, China, to produce a wide variety of high-grade steel products, including exposed and non-exposed automotive sheets and advanced high-strength steels.
