Shougang Jingtang United Iron and Steel (SGJT) has produced more than 10Mt of hot-rolled steel using Danieli’s QSP-DUE (Danieli Universal Endless) technology.
The China-based steelmaker has also recorded the production of over 420t of hot-rolled coils within a single roll campaign at a thickness of below 0.8mm entirely in endless mode.
Danieli highlighted that the milestone demonstrated long-term sustainable operational stability, high productivity, and consistent product quality under full industrial conditions.
Furthermore, on the production of ultra-thin gauges, it outlined that it represented a major technological validation of Danieli’s casting-and-rolling concept.
QSP-DUE processes a ‘universal’ rolling concept, enabling seamless operation in endless, semi-endless, and coil-to-coil modes within a single plant.
The SGJT plant is one of several QSP-DUE installations currently in operation worldwide.
