The average daily crude steel production of China’s major steelmakers was 1.7Mt between 21-31 December 2014, down 3.6% from the previous 10 days (11-20 December), according to figures issued by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

The total steel inventories of China’s major steelmakers were 13.2Mt by 31 December, down 1.6Mt from 20 December.

Between 11-20 December 2014 the daily crude steel output of the major steelmakers was 32kt, 1.86% higher than 1-10 December.

CISA reported that the steel inventories of the major steelmakers was 14.8Mt by 20 Dec,
up 173kt from the figure recorded for 10 December.
