British Steel is recruiting 40 apprentices to join the ‘biggest transformation in its history’.
The steelmaker is currently seeking applicants for engineering and technical roles on Teesside and in Scunthorpe. They are aiming to deliver net-zero steel by 2050, with significant reductions in CO2 intensity being mapped out for 2030 and 2035.
The challenge has been described as the biggest faced in 130 years of steelmaking and those starting their careers are set to play integral roles - potentially seeing it through.
