The EU has published the Commission implementing its decision establishing the best available techniques (BAT) conclusions under Directive 2010/75/EU on industrial emissions for iron and steel production.
The BAT conclusions are legally binding for the permits of new and existing installations. In addition, Best Available Techniques Associated Emission Levels (BATAELs) specifically for iron and steel process gases will be established in the BAT reference document for large combustion plants (LCPs) by 2015.
