Wuhan Steel (Wusteel) has received subsidies of RMB 43.03M ($6.62) from the government this year, a company spokesperson recently said.
Among them, RMB 14.1M was to compensate for the closure of two oxygen converters and one blast furnace. The Wuhan municipal government gave RMB 11.29M ($1.81M) to Wusteel as subsidies for environmental protection projects.
