Vallourec & Mannesmann Star has ordered a cross-roll piercing mill for their Multistand pipe mill (MPM) at its Youngstown site in Ohio, USA.
Installation of the new equipment to be supplied by SMS Meer of Germany, is scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2014.
Features of the new barrel-type piercer are enhanced rigidity, an up-to-date disk arrangement and an exit side with three-roller guide pedestals.
