UK-based AIC Steel (part of the AIC Steel Group) plans to create 40 jobs before the year-end, boosting its workforce to 120 after winning 23 contracts worth £9.6 million within six months.

The company plans to recruit surveyors, engineers, project managers and steel fabricators at its new £10 million UK headquarters, opened recently by Minister for Trade and Investment Lord Livingston.

The company's new base occupies an area of 28,000 sq m and boasts an output capacity of approximately 25kt of structural steel destined primarily for the UK construction industry.

Michael Treacy, CEO of AIC Steel UK, said: “AIC Steel has a reputation for delivering work on a global scale and our recent UK-based contract wins, including the re-development of Bristol City Football Stadium, adds to our portfolio of signature projects."
