Three 350t/h walking beam furnaces are to be supplied to Tata Steel’s greenfield steelplant in Kalinganagar, Orissa State, India.
The supplier is Tenova LOI Italimpianti and Tenova. The furnaces will reheat slab for Tata Steel's new hot strip mill under construction at Kalinganagar, Orissa state, India which will be the most advanced installation in the area, which has been growing rapidly in the past two years. The products are intended for both the local and the export markets. In the initial phase, the first two furnaces will begin production in October 2013, the second phase will see the start-up of the third furnace in October 2014.
The reheating furnaces will be equipped with state-of-the-art combustion technology and slab handling control systems. The scope of supply will be on a turnkey basis, excluding the civil works.
