The Taiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Corp (TISCO) in Shanxi province has become the first in the country to successfully develop a 900MPa high strength hot-rolled steel. The aim is to be able to substitute imports of this type of steel.
Steel of this grade is used mainly for the manufacturing of concrete pump trucks. In 2011, TISCO developed a 700MPa high-strength hot-rolled steel which has dominated the local market of manufacturers making concrete pump trucks.
