After 27 years with EUROFER, eight of them as director-general, Gordon Moffat has announced that he is leaving the organisation.
Robrecht Himpe, EUROFER's president, said that Mr Moffat 'has provided strong leadership in a very challenging policy environment' and has thanked him for his contribution to the organisation and the European steel industry in the post-2007 period.
Mr Moffat is being succeeded by Axel Eggert, currently EUROFER's director of public affairs. Mr Eggert will assume the leadership on 1 October.
