Russian steelmaker OJSC Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) wants 100% of car manufacturers operating in Russia to use its metal.

The company claims that its rolled steel has already been approved by 80% of carmakers in Russia and that 60% of those manufacturers are regular customers.

MMK claims to be a key rolled steel supplier to AvtoVAZ and UAZ and has received approval from a number of international producers in Russia.

According to MMK, the company ‘has a track record of supplying steel to such producers and continues to promote its products for existing and potential car plants’.

MMK claims to be a leading supplier of ferrous metals products for car plants and related facilities, which produce various car components.
