Eddie Kane Steel Products, Inc. has added its newest distribution facility in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The opening of this sales, warehouse, and distribution centre will allow the Company to better service its hot-rolled carbon steel plate customers in the US South.

The expansion in central Alabama means significant freight savings for customers in the Southern US and Mexico, which is absolutely important to fabricators and processors as fuel prices as well as raw material prices continue to rise.

The strategically located facility will also mean faster delivery times for many of the company’s customers.

Eddie Kane Steel’s growth across the US in the past three years is part of the company’s plan to establish and strengthen strategic relationships with mill suppliers and customers. They have also increased inventory and processing capacities at their various locations.

Eddie Kane Steel Products was founded in January 2000 as a carbon and alloy steel distributor. The company opened its first value-added processing facility in Masury, Ohio, in 2005 as part of a growth plan to increase product value through processing and improved services.

With the new Alabama facility, Eddie Kane Steel Products now has sales, distribution, and processing centres in Masury, Ohio; Los Angeles; Hertford County, North Carolina; Chicago; and Tuscaloosa.

The processing capabilities within the company include high-definition plasma and oxy-fuel flame cutting, shearing, bending, light machining, and many other customer-requested processes and services, all of which enable the company to support its valuable and diverse customer base.

The company’s corporate office is in Sea Girt, New Jersey, with additional sales offices in Maine and New Jersey.
