Baosteel, Wusteel and Shagang were listed the top three steelmakers measured by their overall competitiveness in 2013, according to a recent assessment released by the China Metallurgical Industry Planning and Research Institute.
A total of 70 key steel mills in China were assessed and Baosteel was the industry leader after comprehensive analysis.
Following the top three steel mills were Anshan Iron and Steel Group, Shougang Group, Hebei Iron and Steel Group and Taiyuan Iron and Steel Corp.
