China produced 16.13Mt of stainless crude during the first three quarters of 2015, up 0.68% year-on-year, according to figures released by the China Special Steel Enterprises Association.

Between January and September China imported 548kt of stainless steel, down 15.26% year-on-year, and exported 2.69Mt (down 9%).

Apparent consumption of stainless steel rose 2.24% to 12.05Mt over the first three quarters of the year, when China relies upon domestic production for 95.45% of stainless steel demand.
