Chinese steelmaker Baosteel has announced that it has been awarded the title of Excellent Supplier for the 14th time.
The title was bestowed on the steel company by Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co.
“Baosteel has established a co-operative friendship with Dongfeng,” claims the company in an official on-line press release, adding that its relationship with the motor company has ‘deepened’ over recent years.
Last year, Baosteel set up a service team for Dongfeng to help the company progress with projects designed to reduce costs through technological innovation.
Baosteel claims that it is constantly improving its quick-response supply chain system and is creating greater awareness of flexibile manufacturing among its customer base.
