Platts claims that Metalloinvest, a Russian mining company, will be supplying 2Mt of iron ore concentrate to the world’s biggest steelmaker, ArcelorMittal.
The concentrate, claims Platts, will be used by ArcelorMittal’s European operations.
Metalloinvest produces two grades of iron ore concentrate at 65% and 67.5% Fe. The company produced 9.2Mt of concentrate in Q4 2014 along with 4.8Mt of pellets and 400kt of sintering ore.
