Stadco will take delivery of one of Europe’s largest transfer press lines for automotive panel production in 2014.
The new production facility, costing over £15M, will consist of a 4000 tonne transfer press, fully equipped with the latest material handling equipment and capable of processing both steel and aluminium blanks at very high speed. This will provide Stadco with the capability to produce up to four parts simultaneously at a combined rate of up to 3200 parts per hour to suit high-volume vehicle production.
The new transfer press is on schedule to be installed and commissioned during the first half of 2014, with full production on the new line starting in December 2014.
