Martin Stillger has taken over from Dr. Klaus Keysberg as CEO of thyssenkrupp Materials Services following Dr. Keysberg's appointment to the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp AG.

Dr. Keysberg moved to the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp AG on 1 October and is now responsible for the businesses of Steel Europe and Materials Services.

Since 2008, Stillger has held various leadership and management positions at thyssenkrupp Materials Services and was most recently CEO of thyssenkrupp Schulte and the Western Europe and Technical Services operating units. Prior to joining thyssenkrupp he spent 17 years with Barmag AG, including five years as chief sales officer and five as CEO. He has been involved in shaping our holistic, integrated customer approach and has the purpose and vision to take our strategy forward,” said Dr. Klaus Keysberg, thyssenkrupp Executive Board member responsible for the Materials Services and Steel Europe business areas.

Martin Stillger, executive board chairman of thyssenkrupp Materials Services, commented: “I am looking forward to my new duties. As a strong Board team we will drive and improve the businesses of Materials Services. We are aware of the current and future challenges and we have answers to them. Now we need to implement these answers as quickly and efficiently as possible so we can continue to meet our customers’ needs now and in the future as a dependable, innovative partner.”
