China steel output rises on price hike
China’s output of crude steel may reach around 706Mt in 2011, far exceeding the prediction of 660Mt forecast at the beginning of the year, according to the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).
Fortescue reports strong ore growth

September production up 9.7%
World crude steel production for the 64 countries reporting to the World Steel Association (worldsteel) was 124Mt in in September 2011 - 9.7% higher than September 2010.
Vietnam steel exports to increase 44.5% this year
Vietnam is estimated to export around 1.87Mt of steel and steel ingot this year, a 44.5% increase from 2010 figures, Vietnam Steel Association chairman Nguyen Chi Cuong said.
China’s steel output up 10.6%
China's crude steel output increased 10.6% year-on-year to 469.28Mt in the first eight months, according to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
