Welcome to the first issue of 2012! The Jan/Feb edition of Steel Times International contains features on Raw Materials and Continuous Casting.
The Raw Materials section includes a report on the Intertech Pira 15th Annual Coke Summit, an article on combining coke and ironmaking methods to reduce emissions during production, and an overview of level sensors for raw materials and its application in Sail plants.
Continuous Casting includes articles on the 4th generation Danieli thin slab caster, and improved online water leakage detection and flow monitoring for caster rolls.

November/December 2011
Welcome to the November/December 2011 issue of STI.
The issue features articles on Minimills and Coatings as well as a host of other papers. The Minimills featuire includes a paper on Smart injection tools in DRI-based EAF steelmaking, and a paper on ABS-A special minimill.
Coatings features iclude the CGL 'twins' at Voestalpine Linz and a two to one custom oven solution.
Other papers include reports from the Steel Success Stategies Europe event, the worldsteel-45 event in Paris and how Shale-Inland is plotting a service centre role.

October 2011
The October 2011 issue of STI contains features on Structural Steels, Special and Stainless Steels, and Continuous Casting. The Structural Steels feature includes an article from the Target Zero project which aims to determine the most cost effective combinations of materials for zero carbon buildings.
The Aspex Corporation provides a report on Applying statistical theory to bearing steel failure modes in the Special Steel section, while the Continuous Casting section includes a report from the 7th European Continuous Casting Conference held in Dusseldorf, concurrent with the Metec show.
